Sunset Aquatic Shipyard offers the only Do-It-Yourself boatyard in Orange County. If you prefer to do your own maintenance and repairs, our monthly DIY yard program gives you access to our haul-out facilities, work stands, and yard space — so you can tackle the job yourself.


It's a unique offering that sets us apart from other yards, and it's been a cornerstone of how we serve the local boating community since 1980. From bottom painting to more involved repairs, our yard is set up to accommodate self-service work safely and efficiently.


And if you run into something that's over your head? Our full-service shipwright team is right there on-site — ready to step in and help.

We handle the haul-out and block your vessel safely on stands so you can work on the full underwater portion of the hull. Launch when you're done.
